FMG

My sister, Jackie purchased yearly passes this year to the Frederick Meijer Gardens (FMG), which included guest passes. So what better reason to go and check out the butterfly exhibit on a rainy say such as this, it was FREE!

I'm so glad I remembered it was soooo hot and muggy in the exhibit, I would hate to have a repeat of last years sweat fest. I loved the tropical atmosphere, makes me want to take a little vacation to somewhere hot!!

The kids had a great time, despite it must have been class trip day for all the surrounding schools. Both girls loves seeing the butterflies almost land on them. They also went nuts for these little birds that were the pretty colors of yellow, orange and blue!

Couldn't pass up another classic smile!
We spent a lot of time watching the little birds here, and there were a ton of butterflies in this particular spot.

B-day Party #1

This year we combined Megan's birthday, which was 2 weeks ago, Easter and Chases B-day which is Friday...making it a 3 for 1 party! My mom provided the classic honey ham and potatoes and Jackie and I filled in the menu with sides and of course Costco Cake!!

Megan's classic smile!

An attempt to get a picture of these two.... both kids up to their wrist in cake...and a foot covered in frosting, and we still didn't get a good picture of the two together.

Between all the birthday presents for these two, and the Easter baskets filled with goodies plus new chairs for all the kids from my parents, it felt more like Christmas than Easter.

We still have one party left for Megan, I'm glad she is still young enough not to realize that it will be a month past her birthday :-(

Egg Hunt

We hosted our first Easter egg hunt this past Saturday. We invited a few friends, combined it with excited kids in search of Easter eggs filled with candy and a potluck to follow making it a great time.

The weather on Saturday started out a little cloudy and rainy, but by 4pm it had cleared to be a wonderful day. I cant wait till next year to do it all again.

Megan Mae ~ 2yrs

When asked to 'smile for the camera'..... this is what you get

Like most parents with their youngest child turning 2, they ask themselves....where did the time go! While it makes me stop and take in all these last 'baby' moments, I am really excited for the next phase with both girls. Little Meggie Mae is such a ham, acting silly, making us all laugh. She still sleeps the day away. Going to bed at 8pm and sleeps till 10am or later. Takes a nap from 1:30 to 4 every day. She LOVES to eat, and will pass her sister in weight in no time. This little girl has a love for the arts, she could dance and sing all day long. I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for you in the years to come, and look forward to everyday watching you grow and learn. Happy Birthday, Meg!

Bounce Party

We were more than excited to attend a birthday party for a special 7yr old named Paige, but then to find out it was being held at The Bounce Party!!! With Costco cake!! That made for a happy Brogger family. This was our first time at the Bounce Party, and I'm not sure who had more fun...Abby or Me! Megan was a little hesitant with the big slide, but LOVED jumping in the bounce house with all the big kids. 3 beautiful girls, Addy, Audra and Abby, having a GREAT time!

Abby and friend Anna on the big slide.

Megan just came for the cake!!

Jackie and Chase getting in on the cake action!

I think if you ask Abby what she wants to do for her 4th birthday, she will answer with a party at the Bounce Party!

What do you call them?

Second cousins? My cousins kids? I think the correct way for me to say it would be my first cousins, once removed?? Not real sure, but I will say they are a bunch of CUTE kids!

What better way to keep 7 kids (Chase not pictured) under control so the adults can have some adult time?? Popcorn and a movie!
It's so nice seeing family, and being close to your family. I love that our kids are all in the same age group and get to grow-up and become friends with each other.

Cute Chicks!

Every year the local farm store brings in bins and bins of teeny, tiny, fuzzy, baby chickens, ducks and turkeys. We took a family trip to see them this weekend and the girls couldn't get enough!! They were running around sticking their hands in all the bins, tormenting all the little babies. We hope to make another trip back so they can do it all again!
