Big day for Abby!

Every day we work on rolling over, from back to front and front to back. Well Abby decided that today was the day to try it on her own. She was on her stomach and before I knew it she was on her back. Thinking it was a fluke, I placed her back on her stomach and sure enough she did it again. Now we just need to accomplish the back to front.

4 Months and who's Counting?!?!

It's not like I don't enjoy winter, but just about this time every year I look forward to hot, sunny weather. Where we can go outside and enjoy
swimming, grilling and all the other fun outdoor activites that get put on hold when the snow flies. I am thankful that I don't have to worry about the snow removal... I have my husband to thank for that! But for him it is more play than work.

Looks like a face full of snow!

This chair is calling my name!

Showing off the new sun hat and shirt Grandpa and Grandma H. got her in Antigua on Vacation All I need is sunscreen!!

Hard Day of Work

My sister and I have always talked about getting together and having a day of cooking. Well yesterday was that day, my sister and her 2yr old daughter came over for a long day of making meals that we could put in the freezer and haul out on those days we don't feel like cooking (Which is most days)

The babysitter, yikes!

We endend up making 8 items most of which were double batches so now the freezers are packed. I am happy because it looks like I don't have to make dinner for a month and my husband is happy because he won't come home to grilled cheese on the days I don't feel like cooking.

A much needed break!

Hopefully we can do this again next month, it 's worth a long day of cooking and dirty dishes.

Favorite toy of the day

From day one we have always used Abby's bouncy seat. I can say that it was one of the greatest, most used baby gifts that we received. She use to sleep in it when she was a newborn and now uses it for the occational nap. We also use it when we are just hanging out, or playing.

She never liked the toys that went along with it till now. I was so excited to see her grabbing at the toys, kicking and waiving her arms and giggling along with the music.

All strapped in ready to go!

Plotting my next move!

It was also nice because it gave me about 1/2 hr to get some things done around the house with her being distracted.

Chapstick anyone?

Saturday was the day for kids at the Brogger house, or so it seemed to me. Yesterday afternoon my good friend Rachel and her son Cole came to visit for a few hours and let me tell you there is a big difference between 3mo and 18mo. Our time together was spent picking up spilled food and following him from room to room while we tried to catch up. I will enjoy the time I have now where I can put Abby down and know that she will say there until I move her. Then that evening we had the joy of watching my 2yr old niece for a few hours. Let me tell you that it did not take much to keep her entertained for that time!
Lets just say that everyone needed chapstick last night, from head to toe. Sorry to my sister, I know that she already had her bath for the day but you might want to think about another one to get off the 4lbs of Burts Bees!

Growth Spurt

It wasn't that long ago but I forgot what it was like getting up every 2 hrs. For the last 2 days and 2 nights Abby has been eating every 2 hrs and let me tell you that equals no sleep for me, day or night! But I think we are finally over it and back to the old schedule of 3-5 hrs which is so much better. With this new growth we are finally out of the newborn sleepers, time to breakout the next size!
