DIY

My parents are getting close to finishing their house, and should be ready to move in in about 2 months. Today was painting day, everything from the ceilings to the trim needed to be done. So my dad, uncle, brother-in-law and husband signed up to get the job done. My sisters and I decided to stop out for lunch and check on the progress... they were doing a great job, but had a long way to go. I can't wait to see the finished product.

My niece is always willing to help... but must do it with her sunglasses onSince the ground in starting the thaw... boots are a must as there is mud everywhere!! You can't beat the view they have from every window in their house.

(well maybe in a few month when there is more that just mud)

Always something new

I have never heard from anyone that parenting was easy, and I would have to agree. Here is a quick list of things I have learned since becoming a mom.

1. This list will never be complete

2. Diapers do not always do what they are suppose to do

3. Sleep when you can

4. Patience, patience, patience!!!

5. Adult conversation is needed everyday

6. Realize that some days you are not meant to brush your hair

7. Have husband change the diaper when the diaper champ if full... sorry

8. Every toy makes noise

9. It takes twice as long to get everyone out of the house

10. Don't burp the baby with your new shirt on.. see # 11..

11. Food doesn't always stay down, even 1/2 hr after eating

12. Love, love, and more love

13. God does not give us more than we can handle

morning comes too early!

Not a good morning

Abby had her 4mo doctor visit this morning, which included 4 shots, and that makes for a cranky baby on the ride home. It's a good thing she has a short memory.

Back at home safe and sound.

My little Easter Bunny

Thanks to my sister JMN for the pics!

Fun new toy

We bought this about a month ago, it seemed like it took that long to put it together, and Abby is now starting to enjoy it. Yet another thing to keep her busy for a few minutes on her own.

Teamwork

We finally tackled our project this weekend that we have been putting off for a few weeks.

About a month ago I went to a Uppercase Living party and ordered some awesome wall words, and have been procrastinating putting up due to well, it just looked like a big task. We borrowed a leveler from some friends last weekend (thanks Joel and Brenda) so now we had no excuse... it was time.
We decided to start with Abby's room. We read the directions, following them to the T and realized that it was not that difficult to do, it just took some patience, and me telling Eric what to do... hahaha (he didn't think the same)

After Abby's room was a success, it was time to move unto the kitchen, now that we were pros (yea right) this went a little better.
And last but not least our bedroom
Everything looks great.. and yes we are still married !!
